The view of the dolomites is one of the most fascinating panoramas you could see in your life. This is what they say whoever has been in front of these astonishing mountains.
Compared to other mountains, the dolomites are clearer and more colourful, they are modelled like an architectural monument. Born 200 million years ago they reach the height of more than 3000 mt from see level. Their name came from Déodat de Dolomieu (1750 - 1801) who defined their very unique rock composition. Now they are among the UNESCO nominees for consideration as natural heritage sites.
